Upcoming classes

April 2, 2024 update: Due to an overwhelming response, enrollment in LHE’s May/June nursing assistant certification class is now closed. Dates for the next class will be posted on this page when it is scheduled. If you would like to be notified by email when enrollment is open, please opt-in to receive email messages from us by filling out the form at the bottom of this page. Class schedule

Monday to Thursday:

  • Weeks 1 to 3 include program introduction, orientation and training (6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
  • Week 4 consists of clinicals (6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.), with two days of clinicals in week 5
  • Week 5 includes two days of clinicals and one day each of skills practice and testing

Requirements

To take classes through LHE, you will need the following:

Negative tuberculosis test: All CNA students in Washington state are required to have a negative TB test. We can administer this for you as part of the enrollment process.

COVID-19 vaccination: Effective Aug. 7, 2023, COVID-19 vaccination is recommended, not required.

Background check: These are required for all CNA trainees in Washington state. Enrolled students get this check provided at no additional cost.

Uniform: Students must wear scrubs to class. More information on accepted attire is provided on the FAQ page.

Training materials: All students are provided with the required training materials at no additional cost. These will be distributed on the first day of class.

Social Security Number: A valid SSN is required for LHE training and for the Washington state board CNA examination.
