Do you offer make-up classes for LHE’s CNA training program?

Filed under: Enrollment / Program info

Lynden Healthcare Education’s nursing assistant certification curriculum is designed to deliver essential information and explain complex concepts that can be difficult to grasp if you miss a class. Class sessions often involve group discussions, interactive activities and vital hands-on learning experiences that are key for understanding and retaining the material.

Because the content in this course builds on the knowledge and skills that are covered in preceding classes, make-up classes are not offered.

To meet the standard, you must be on time and in attendance for all 24 scheduled classes and be present in the training room in Lynden throughout the duration of each class, except during designated breaks and when released by the instructor.

We are often asked what will happen if a student misses a class. Due to this class being a progressive learning experience, if you miss one of the 24 required classroom sessions, you will be released from the class and will need to re-enroll in the program at a future date.

We ask that everyone who is interested in LHE’s CNA training program review the class calendar carefully and ensure their availability for all 24 sessions before enrolling.

By attending every class, you also have the chance to build relationships with the instructor and classmates. These connections can be valuable for academic support, networking and future opportunities, such as recommendations or collaborations.

Ultimately, the goal of CNA training at Lynden Healthcare Education is to prepare students to work in the long-term care industry as certified nursing assistants. That means teaching basic medical skills, providing hands-on experience caring for people and preparing students for the required Washington State Nursing Assistant competency exam. Completing the class is challenging, but you can do it! In one month, after completing 24 classes, you will be on your way to a rewarding career.
