Media: The LHE website does not allow for the uploading of images by the general public, but if you do share images with us through some other means, you should avoid sharing images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as this location data can be extracted by people with access to the images.

Contact forms: Our website contains a form that allows you to submit a message or question, along with your name and email address. We collect this information to aid us in responding to your question. Information submitted via the contact form is stored in our website’s database and sent to our website administrator via email. This is so that we can begin a conversation with you and respond quickly to your question or comment. We keep this correspondence stored in email so that we can continue our conversation at a later date without losing the context of what we’ve already discussed. LHE uses Google (Gmail) to handle our email.

Cookies: Google Analytics and Google Advertising features are installed on the LHE website, potentially to include Remarketing with Google Analytics; Google Display Network Impression Reporting; Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting; and Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data for advertising purposes, including the collection of data via advertising cookies and identifiers.

Information collected by Google may include end user location, search history, YouTube history, and data from sites that partner with Google—and is used to provide aggregated and anonymized insights into users’ cross device behaviors.

“Google Analytics mainly uses first-party cookies to report on visitor (aka. user) interactions on Google Analytics customers’ websites. Users may disable cookies or delete any individual cookie.

Google Analytics provides a method to mask IPs that are collected (detailed below) but note that website owners have access to their users’ IP addresses even if the website owners do not use Google Analytics.”

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the tools Google has made available here. In addition, you may view Google’s My Activity page to view and delete information Google has stored about you.

Embedded content from other websites: Occasionally, articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Mailing list: You have the option of submitting your email address to join our mailing list. We use MailChimp for our mailing services. Any email address you submit via our form is sent to MailChimp and stored there for the purpose of our sending you our newsletter. MailChimp has shared some information online about how their policies protect your data. You can find that information in Section 3, Privacy for Contacts, of MailChimp’s policy.

Class sign-up forms: LHE holds regular classes that require reservations. This information may be collected via email or through online sign-up forms. We collect only the information we need to process the reservation, and we don’t use the information for any other purpose, with the exception that, if we have collected your permission to do so, we also will add your contact information to our mailing list.

LHE does not share your information with anyone except as necessary to conduct a particular transaction. For example, information you submit through the contact form is sent to us via Gmail, which provides our email service, and is stored in an SQL database on our server. Any information that you submit is used only for the purpose for which it was submitted.

As noted above, information submitted to us via the contact form on our website or via email is retained indefinitely on our website and email servers so that we may continue conversations without losing the context of what has been previously written.

If you have submitted information to us via the contact form or via email, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Other than to Google or to MailChimp, as noted above, LHE does not send your data to any third party.

This website is protected with secure sockets layer (ssl) encryption, and we use security tools to help in preventing unauthorized access to the website.
